MIRECOURT
MUSÉE DE LA LUTHERIE ET DE L'ARCHETERIE FRANCAISES
Description
How do you become a luthier? What does one generation pass on to the next – technique, know-how, a workshop, equipment, a reputation? Sound bytes, videos and instruments that can be played by young and old give an insight into this outstanding world of craft and music. A booklet is available at reception for children. In July-August, visitors to the museum can visit the workshop and watch a student luthier at work. He will be delighted to answer any questions.
