FORMER THEATRE LE SCALA

Description

In 1828, the town council voted to establish an Italian-style theatre in the right wing of the Augustinian convent and the plans were drawn up by architect Grillot.

The building was entirely restored between 1891 and 1893 by the artist Gaston Save, who also painted the decor. This room was first used for film screenings in 1925.

It closed in August 2018 pending a new function.

1 century of shows have taken place in this room rich in history!
