DOMREMY LA PUCELLE
JOAN OF ARC'S BIRTHPLACE
Description
It was in a modest ploughman's cottage that Joan of Arc was born, around 1412, during the Hundred Years' War.
Since the 15th century, this site has been preserved and enriched with sculptures and inscriptions, in homage to this emblematic figure of French history. While the façade traces the six centuries of this house, its four small, sober interior rooms invite visitors to reflect, in the footsteps of a young girl who became a world-famous heroine.
