CHAPEL OF THE HOSPITAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Description
The hospital is founded in 1237 by Brother Robert, a religious of the Order of the Hospital of the Holy Spirit from Rome. In it, the sisters of Neufchâteau took care of the poors, the widow(er)s, the sick people by the sisters until the Revolution.
Of this medieval hospital foundation, the only one in the Vosges department, remains only the chapel, redesigned and enlarged.
It was owned by the hospital until 1998, before belonging to the town.
Not to be missed : a painted tabernacle in golden oak wood dating from 1706, a retable of the Adoration of the Magi (end of the 15th or begining of the 16th century), tomb slabs...
