ST NICHOLAS' CHURCH
Description
The primitive building was built at the end of the 11th century by Theodoric II, Duke of Lorraine.
At the end of the 13th century, it gave way to a new church, the western part of which is built on the limestone terrace. A significant lower church was needed to support the whole choir overhanging on the slop of the land.
The church has the particularity of having two churches in one!
Must-see: The Anointing of Jesus Christ dating from the 15th century, the retables from the second part of the 17th century, the lower church…
