LA FONTAINE DE LA PLACE DE MESDAMES
Description
Before the Revolution, the square was home to a rectangular fountain and a Chanoinesse house, which were demolished during the renovation. Mayor Stanislas Bresson then set about restructuring the Place du Collège, now known as Place de Mesdames. In 1828, he had the present-day fountain built.
Although the basin was completely rebuilt in 1993 according to the original plan, the cast-iron basin has been carefully preserved. It contributes to the historic character and timeless charm of this emblematic square.
