SAINT AME
ÉGLISE DE SAINT-AMÉ
Description
Initially, it was planned to build the church on land donated by Nicolas CLAUDON, at a place called Le Golot. However, the Abbess of Remiremont wanted to build the edifice on this land. This was done in April 1725, and the church was consecrated in 1726.
The church has several remarkable features inside:
- a large organ built by GÉHIN in 1867
- several stained glass windows and a Stations of the Cross by Gabriel LOIRE, from Chartres
- the communion railings are listed as historic monuments.
